I have a 2 drawer DTS unit. I recently hooked up a keyboard and a monitor to it( I had to put in a video card but the keyboard slot was already there). I can now play any reel from any movie disc manually.
The question is why will it not play trailer discs? Further, it won't play trailers on the feature disc.
Anybody know why or how I can get it to work?
Thanks

To play trailers, you have to enter the trailer serial number and signify as reel 14 (all trailers are reel 14 and a unique serial number).

Thanks Karen! Could you give me an example of how to enter in the numbers when given the prompt? It will give the question mark prompt - what do I put in after that? 14-serial# or 14.serial# ?
Thanks

It depends on the DTS.EXE being used. Older versions had a "trailer serial number" line where you could type in its serial number. The newer EXE has Rx serial number. I have not played with the unit enough to be sure, but try typing in R14 then the trailer serial number.

If you look at a trailer disc with a computer, the trailers should be listed in a text file on the disc. That is where you'll find their serial numbers. Remember, all trailers are encoded as reel 14.

I am not sure if the last part will work. Feel free to try it, i f you wish. If it doesn't work, you'll have to use a timecode generator.
