Has anybody seen the new fabulous reels? I have recieved two prints with the new hi-tech reels. They are worse than the white plastic flimsy ones if that is believable. At least those you can put on a spindle. These look exactly the same as the white flimsy reels except there is NO notch by the hole for you to slip the reel on to a spindle. The only way that you will be able to build or breakdown prints with these new reels is by incorporating a hammer and banging the reel until it is completely on the spindle. or you could always just let it freespin, but that would mean you will not be able to breakdown. What next reels with no spindle holes? I will try and post some pictures for everyone to see.

You seem to have so many problems with transit reels in the USA why don't you adopt the UK and European way. We use plastic cores and put reels on split spools while making up films and wind them back onto cores when breaking down, sometimes reels arrive with broken cores but its quite easy to swop the cores with experience.
