This extraordinary "intimate epic" has incredibly few close-ups in it's 3 hour plus running time. A truely origional, involving biopic with a career-best performance by George C. Scott. And a glorious, economical score by the legendary Jerry Goldsmith.

I'd go some way to see it again in 70mm.
