What are your thoughts on using WD-40 to clean a projector? That's what I use. But I use it sparingly, only when necessary to remove some stubborn gunk. I find that it's really helpful in removing junk that's caked on to the tension bands. I just spray it on a Q-Tip and wipe the bands.

It is very important to keep WD-40 OUT of bearings and OFF the film!!!
