The intermittent on our Century SA is about to go out. We have a rebuilt on the way that should be here soon. What I am wondering is if anyone has any good tips for changing them of knows any good technical resources. I have the manual and it explains it pretty well. Just wondering if there is anything to make the job easier. Thanks in advance.

It's really a very easy job. Just follow the manual and you should be fine.

After a while you'll be able to change them in your sleep.

Make sure you remember to fill the new one with oil, too Some techs recommend that the fiber gear on the vertical shaft should be changed at the same time, as these mesh with their intermittent over time.

The century manuals are dead-on, especially the part about the dime.
