Just an FYI if anybody hasn't heard yet. My corporate office just informed us that NSS and Technicolor have merged and we are to disregard any of the old NSS account numbers and start using Technicolor exclusively for all orders of all advertising material and trailers. I am curious how this is all going to play out...

This supposedly happened about two years ago, shortly after the NSS offices shut their doors. You are just now hearing about this?

Technicolor DID buy out NSS a couple of years ago, but the recent development is that the two companies are now merging, i.e. you will use your TES account number and contact numbers for everything, instead of calling two separate places for stuff.

This will be more convenient; one phone call to find out they're out of everything.

We no longer use either of them. We call the studios directly. Why should we pay for the ad material for a studios film? That's our arrangement. It works just fine.

Three of the companies also offer websites thru which you can order materials and find out pertinent facts about the movies.
www.foxexhibitor.com (20th Century Fox) www.exhibitorrelations.com (Universal) www.sonypicturesreleasing.com (Sony)

Independent Marketing Edge also has ad slicks for download.
