A new theater is opening within our company and they purchased these german projectors from Kinoton model number PK-60. They look great and arn't huge like the Strong projectors that I've used all my years. I went to Kinoton's site http://www.blsi.com/kinoton/ and they didn't have manuals and/or clear instructions on how to operate and do maintance on them. Just wanted to know how these projectors work so I have some know how going into the new facility. Anyone know where I can get this info from? Thanks!

The PK60's are good projectors, and the maintaince is minimal. I sure if you call the person who installed the projectors, they will supply you with a manual; one comes with each machine, so there should be as many as projectors you bought. If that doesn't work, I sure someone from BL&S could help.

I don't know exactly what maintaince is needed, but generally on a new projector, the intermittent oil should be changed after a 2-3 months; then once a year after. The chains- apply oil about once a year. The Delrin (white nylon looking) gate need to be changed about once a year, sooner if you leave the gate tension up (ie: On new prints, the gate tension may need to be kept higher, but usually can be reduced after a few showing.. operators forget to reduce the gate tension when it's no longer needed.)

The manual is more informative, but that's a quick bit of info.
