Congratulations, Brad!

This is definitely the best forum site I've ever encountered on the net. It has the best signal-to-noise ratio of any I've seen, and is definitely the best place to satisfy curiosities about film and theatres.

The participants seem like a large family.

Great idea, Mark! I'm curious: How much disk space do all of the messages posted on film-tech take up (per forum?) Would it be feasible to do such a thing?

That would be way cool! I would buy it! Also, Brad should sell Film-Tech hats to film-tech members! That way if one of us walks down the street and sees another we can do a "secret" film-tech handshake or something.

Would that secret handshake be like the Monty Python Masonic hanshake?

Wow, I noticed last week when the FHF got up to 30,000 posts, but I didn't realize it had hit the 100 page marker. I wonder how many people even see all 100 pages on their browsers? For those who don't, go to the top of the forum screen and use the drop down menu to reset things to "show all topics". Different browsers behave differently.

Evans, I am showing the forum to be "approximately" .2 gigs of data. It is very difficult to get an exact number because of the way the ubb program is laid out. Also, since there is a mixture of Perl and cgi associated with the ubb, I'm not sure if it could be properly executed from a cdrom. The program was written for UNIX. Not to worry though, as I'm not going anywhere and if something did happen to me, our good friend Scott Norwood will take over and keep the site alive.

The hats are still a good idea though (the handshake wouldn't work for me... nobody else here lives in Ottawa, I don't think...)

A handshake like this one maybe?

Or this...?

For most of us though, it would likely look like this...

------------------
Frankenstein (Gene Wilder): "You know...I'm a rather brilliant scientist, maybe I could do something about that hump..."
Igor (Marty Feldman): "What hump?"

Id be down for Film-Tech:

T-Shirts
Polo Shirts
Wind Breakers
and underwear j/k I Think the poloshirts would be the best.

You know I bet if everyone on here agreed to buy a film-tech T-shirt it would be feasible for brad to get some made, I can see it now

Pens, Coffe Mugs, watches, tons of shit it could be the Film-Tech Store!!!!

but hats, Im just NOT a hat person they make me look stupid.

Yes, anything besides hats. I cant get a baseball-type hat to fit my noggin.... And dont tell me to let out the adjustment in the back. I do that first!

I'd proudly wear a Film-Tech jacket.

Even drink my morning brew from a FT cup!

Many of you could use a FT mouse-pad.

I'd vote for a hat, but other trinkets would be OK, too.
<- to all the esteemed Film-Tech folks!
