I need more documentation on the Century SA projector than is available in the manuals section. I'm very visual and need pictures, which the 1975 manual does not provide at great quantity. And while I'm at it, I'd also like some manuals for the Vic 5 and Vic 8 that aren't in Italian and have more data. Again, pictures. I'm not looking for something pretty to look at, but diagrams and pictures do wonders for my understanding of whats going on in intructions.

The manuals for the V5, V8 and V9 in the manual section are in English. The V5, V8, and V9 projectors usually only came with the parts listing- the operating manual was separate. The manual section here at Film-Tech only has the parts listing manuals for those projectors.

The operating manual for the V8 is much better, but is not as good as, say, the Norelco or Kinotone. It is also way outdated. It shows suggested booth lay out, water circulator connections, 70mm sound change-over, etc. I have a poor, beatup copy; I'd like to scan it, but it's all ripped and dog-eared. Many pages are "B" size (11 x 17) and need to be scanned twice- then stiched together.

Personally, I think the drawings in the parts listing manual are well done (better than the Century or latest Simplex, IMHO.) The V5 and V9 operating manuals are pretty light; there's only a few useful things in there (threading diagram, projector dimensions, etc.)

I don't ever remember anything better for the Century SA than what is already in the manual section.

The Norelco or Kinotone manuals are quite good, with instructions on how to dismantle and/or service several major assemblies. In contrast, the Century and V5, V8 and V9 manuals have only simple instructions, like how to change the intermittent.

Try the Century MSC and TA manuals from August '98. I think they have real pictures in them.
