I have heard how yukky the quality of the
Christie P35GP projectors are. I think
projection equipment manufacturers&projectionists should torture
test the equipment to find out the quality
&performance of the equipment even under
normal use&conditions even before it leaves
the factory.

It seems that with the number of things that fail shortly after being put to use, very few products are tested at all. Much of it appears to have been designed, operated once and if it worked at all put into production. Crap made in China seems to be worst, why do we give most favored nation status to a country that sends such poorly made shit?

Actually, most of that "crap" made in China is actually designed in the USA, including how it is to be assemblied. American companies that decide to pay as little as possible are mostly the ones to blame. If someone wants to pay more to China (or anyone else) they will do a better job.

I find the reject rate of China-assembied items quite low. I'm not to happy about their human-rights stance, but they do good work.
