I just got two xetron lamphouses and the bulb in them has the number CXL-20R. What size bulb is this and what would be the optimum amperage to use with it?

I use the exact same lamp.

A CXL-20R is a Christie lamp. It is 2,000 watts. You get the watts by mutiplying the Amps and the Volts together.

In my lamphouse which is a Strong X-90, the amps are 25 and the volts are 85 which equals 2,125 watts, which may be a little hot.

The box the lamps came in should have a good chart of what the amperage and volts should be.
