How many of you have had any experience with the Superior Quartz brand of xenon lamps? Good or bad. How about warranty claims? How well are they shipped?

(Please keep to topic and not discuss other brands of lamps on this thread, thanks).

I just tested a 7k last week. Very stable, but also brand new. Will know more later, because the theater is installing it this week.

supirior is runnind a test of thier lamps at on of our theatres so far they have not had any problems or complaints . I also helped install two of thier SX42001 lamps at Becky's drive in in Berlinville Pa they look good and stable . I also got atour of the mnufacturing facility at Phillipsburg ,Nj. Some of the personel came from the old Hanovia group. I guess we will just have to keep checking and see how well they do.

Thanks for the info everyone. Keep it coming in as you get it.

What is Superior's policy on reflector replacement in the event their lamp explodes within the warranty period?

Steve,
Why not call Superior on that one. Thats something important enough to get straight form the horses mouth.
We are also looking into their lamps for the several LF systems near SLC.

Because how they have treated existing customers/dealers is also important. Do they feel responsible for an in-warranty explosion.

They have stated that they will replace the reflector if there lamp fails due to there fault
Also most of the Durotest guys work there as well and they know a little bit about making xenon lamps
