This past Wed. Bob Rancatore passed away.He was a fixture here in the Northeast. This man cared more about presentation than anyone I ever knew.At one time he had worked for Avco-Embassy Pictures in Boston;he also at one time owned a twin cinema in Rhode Island;and for the past twenty years worked for National Amusements Showcase Cinemas in Lawrence Ma. He will be greatly missed.

I serviced the Showcase Lawrence for quite some time and knew Bob well. I must say that he was indeed the most plesant fellow to work with and I am sad to see him go...

First met Bob in 1986 when I began servicing the Showcase Lawrence for RCA. He was and always will be one of the true gentlemen of this industry. Whenever I would schedule a service call, Bob would have a cup of coffee and breakfast waiting. Always greeted myself and fellow techs with a great big smile and "Hey, how are ya" or "Good to see ya". He gave me videos of classic films from the 30's and 40's that he would proclaim were "good clean family entertainment". Bob loved this business and I enjoyed his companionship. Thank you, Bob.
