I was trying to find an old post that had some comments from John Pytlak listing some helpful web sites. I thought one was from NASA. Is there a list of other helpful sites to look at, either being a business oe SMPTE related.

Is there a specific site on SMPTE's web page that allows you to get detailed information and pictures over the net. I tried going there and ended up finding pages that had regulation numbers but no hard info.

Thanks

Maybe Brad could compile URLs mentioned in discussions on the Film-Tech "Links" page. Kodak's web site also has a fairly extensive listing of links:

Here's the link I posted to the NASA xenon safety manual:

SMPTE sells standards documents, which are copyrighted material. So you will have to buy them, rather than get them free on a web site. The best deal is to get ALL the motion picture standards on the CD-ROM as Adobe Acrobat .pdf files:
http://www.smpte.org/stds/index.html

Otherwise, most standards are $10 or $15 US each.

John,

If you (or anyone) can assemble a list, please email them to me and I will do so.
