This is not an advert, although some might think so, but "Baraka" is shown in Todd-AO in Copenhagen (Denmark) in a swim bath 9 times in August. This is very unusual of course, but none the less very exiting. The audience is sitting on small chairs with water all around them, while the film is shown in 70mm on a 13 meter flat screen. Projector is a Philips DP75 and the lens is a 87,5mm ISCO T-Kiptagon. Stunning images!!!!

there´s more here: http://www.aok.dk/E/M/CPHDK/0000/03/66/

and here at my own web site about future 70mm film screenings: http://hjem.get2net.dk/in70mm/magazine/screenings.htm

All the best, Thomas Hauerslev

Baraka is one hell of a sweet thing! if you haven't seen it you should if it's avalibel in your area. I have seen it many times because it's one of the very few 70mm titels avalibel in Denmark for rental.

Mark:

The American Cinematheque in Hollywood, CA ran a 70mm print of Baraka at their 70mm festival a few months back. One of the producers of the film was there to do a Q&A in the lobby afterward. You might try contacting Dennis Bartok, the Cinematheque's programmer to see how he booked that print.
His email address is on their site at: http://www.americancinematheque.com/
