NOTE**** Message updated***

I will be in Aurora, Colorado from June 6th until June 30th. I will be stripping a 1600 seat six plex theater there before it is demolished. I will need about 8-12 good people for that period of time at various times during the day or night to get it stripped, inventoried, and packed into two semi trailers.

If anyone knows any 18+ year olds just out of school and wanting some spending cash, I will definately put them to use. I will be paying cash out daily and then Vito will be administering the daily beatings for my protection money.

If anyone knows anyone that is interested please post to this or email me at davew1166@aol.com.

Also I would LOVE to visit some fellow film techers in the area. I have never been.

Dave

This must be the old United Artists Cooper 6, right? Sounds like grunt work, but you never know who you can get to help ya. I may be busy during that time.

Film-Techers are scarce in this area. The only ones I know of are me, Brad Miller, Dwayne Caldwell, Erika Hellgren, and well, I guess that's it. Ian Price used to be out here. Fortunately, all of us Film-Techers here in Colorado choose to work at only one theater, the only theater in the state that is good enough to work at. It is in Aurora, but hopefully it's not the one you're tearing down! Last I counted, we have a few more seats than 1600.

That's one _lucky_ theatre to have all of you folks working there! Could I possibly convince any of you to spend your summers on Cape Cod?

Yes Mark I did actually. I am getting a small pile of cash and some equipment out of the deal. Hell, I probably wont even give them any of thier stuff back, I'll just sell it all off and say the building was gone when I got there.

I am going to spend the next few month doing probably nothing more than just fine tuning the script for my picture and get its production rolling. After that it's anyones guess as to what I will be doing after that. What I need is a job that pays 47 grand a year for me to sit on my butt.

Actually I hate sitting around, but what I REALLY HATE is dealing with front end customers. Customer service I may be good at, but I still hate the standard everyday jackaninny ape that walks through the door and asks me what times the movies are playing, AS HE IS LOOKING AT THE MARQUEE WITH THE TIMES ON IT!!!

Whew... feels good to vent..

Dave, Wish I could come with ya and help out. I am however stuck here at GTS and I kinda like it. My time is pretty much divided 50/50 between field work and office work(or butt work).
Leaving those guys was the right thing to do. They will never amount to much with the additude they have.
Hang in there and if you need to one of the cameras for your film just let me know.
Mark

Dave,

Brad and I are in the same booth. The Mann Chinese 16 in Aurora. It is on Arapahoe and Parker Roads. From the Cooper theatre that you are tearing down, just take Iliff (I think that's the name of the street) to Peoria, turn left and go to Parker road (where Peoria ends). Turn left and go about 4-5 miles to Arapahoe. Theatre is on the left. Can't miss it.
