For some reason this morning whenever I open a new page in film-tech or hit back to go to a previous page I'm getting the following error message:

I'm using IE 5.0 and if I hit debug it brings up InterDev and points to this section of code.

<script>
function submitonce(theform){
//if IE 4+ or NS 6+
if (document.all| |document.getElementById){
//screen thru every element in the form, and hunt down "submit" and "reset"
for (i=0;i<theform.length;i++){
var tempobj=theform.elements[i]
if(tempobj.type.toLowerCase()=="submit"| |tempobj.type.toLowerCase()=="reset")
//disable em
tempobj.disabled=true
}
}
}
</script>

If I use Netscape it works fine. Any idea what it is? Is it just me?

holy cow, man. i loaded this page, and then pressed Page Down and all of a sudden, an error box. i tried for like 2 minutes to figure out why i couldn't press any of the buttons, when i realized that it was a graphic supplied by you. i feel silly now, i'm gonna go lie down.

I'm using an old version of Netscape on one computer and an old version of Explorer on another. I get an error message on each whenever I open a new page on this site. It only started happening in the last day or two.

Hmm...strange. It works fine with current versions Lynx (all platforms) and Netscape (Linux, WinNT, Solaris).

That was a new update that was intended to prevent double and triple postings. The theory behind it is when you press the submit button, it will go dark and not allow you to press it a second time, thus only preventing those double posts we see from time to time. Unfortunately I found it did not work with the version of the software I am using, but since it did not affect any of my "test browsers", I just left it in the code rather then swimming back through it all to dig it out.

I have now removed it from the source code. Does anyone still get the error? Sorry about that.

Mine seems to be working ok now. Thanks for fixing it, it's good to know that my machine wasn't messed up somehow.

Maybe it's my computer, but, when I go into some of the topics that were posted earlier, I am still getting the error.

Me too.
(IE, but I don't know what version. This isn't my computer and I'm too lazy to check.)
The error I get says something about it being a script error and asks if I'd like to continue processing the script. I've just been clicking the default, which is "yes" and haven't noticed any problems.

Oops. Ok, I know how to fix that. (I'm getting a little bit "too" good at resurrecting a crash here.) The old threads will be fixed within the hour. Again, sorry 'bout that!
