After watching Star Wars EP 1 for the millionth time (someone please kill me), I noticed that the picture was awfully dim. I decided to check the reflector and DAMN what reflector. All I had in there was a really pretty glass bowl. Forget that it was cracked in two places. So I am thinking "great, more stuff I need to buy", when I realized that going through storage there are actually brand new reflectors just waiting to go in. I changed them ALL out and DAMN what a difference. I had no idea that the color blue existed until now.

Question: Can you get the old reflectors resurfaced and what would be the cost difference in that compared to new ones?

Resurfacing a mirror happens all the time in the astronomy hobby. With telescopes it's a first surface mirror (means the aluminum is on the front of the mirror instead of the back) but I bet they can do what you want as well. Some of the coatings get pretty exotic. Pickup a copy of Sky and Telescope magazine and you'll find many advertisers in the back that will resurface mirrors
