Author Topic: Projector lubricants Erich Loepke Film Handler Posts: 43 From: Ft. Worth, TX, USA Registered: Sep 1999 posted 12-22-1999 11:41 PM                     What would be some good commonly available lubricants to substitute for things like "AX-1000 Gear Oil" and "Motiograph Movement Grease"? I will be cleaning and relubricating the projector because it has oil, grease, and Vaseline all over the gear side of the unit. I know the intermittent uses grease instead of oil. I'm assuming the grease is not the automotive type. The projector is a Motiograph AAA, which is somewhat different from the Simplexes and Centurys with the greased intermittent.  |  IP: Logged Ken Layton Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1452 From: Olympia, Wash. It was white and resembled Lubriplate.
