I have been running Dogma in my theater since opening date. According to the show scedule the running time is 2:10 with the policy's and three trailers. But it has been running 2:17. This gets a little hairy when running midnight shows on the weekends with a 5 to 10 minute turnaround between shows. The sceduler told me that the times are correct. I spoke to another projectionist who works at another theater 40 miles away and he noticed the same problem with the running time. Is anyone else having the same problem?

My theater's schedule pegs "Dogma" at 2:15... I'm not sure how much of that time is alloted for pre-feature stuff. But I never depend on the schedules for a precise calculation of show length, certainly not within 5 minutes. How can the scheduler expect three trailers to always add up to the exact same amount of time?

Best way we've found to handle this is to round off the studio's running time for a film to the nearest five minutes. Now add ten minutes for trailers, etc. Usually comes out pretty close.
