Anybody else find the D.T.S. track for "Blue Streak" excessively hot (loud)? I received two complaints this week-end.

I'm running between 1-2db lower than my reference level with Blue Streak. Good track, though!

I turn Blue Streak up from the normal levels for the weekends. I do not run it lower than any other movies, even in DTS. That's because the crowd that sees that type of movie wants it loud. I have not had any complaints.

But that's because my theatre is perfect

Perfect? Them's mighty strong words there, Joe. Absolute perfection???

(I would take this opportunity to make an SDDS comment here, but unfortunate for me, I know you don't have any.)

Yes, perfection! The projectionist uniform is a tuxedo. And we take the extra time to make sure each and every frame is projected perfectly. Just kidding. Everyone knows that there is no such thing as a perfect booth.

No, I am assisted by my manservant Geeves. Each projector has its own manservant in a tuxedo as well. Even a guy to open the door for me when I enter/exit the booth. Elegance extreme!

Strange you should mention that. I suspect that many booths have this elegant arrangement - even some of those here in Ontario. Stranger still, all the servants seemed to be named Jeeves here, as well.
So many times have I been climbing the stairs to a booth only to hear, down the hall, the projectionist shouting to his servants (using the plural) "JEEVE'ES WHAT WENT WRONG NOW?".
