Does anyone know where I might be able to get a replacement motor for a
Ballantyne Pro 35? The one I have runs too fast (about 25 or 26 frames
per sec). The actors sound like chipmunks. Or is there any way to slow
down the speed of my existing motor?

Try contacting Strong/Ballantyne at 1-800-424-1215 or visit www.strong-cinema.com
The part number is 2996GE Drive Motor if you're using the projector on a VIP pedestal.
I have seen BODINE motors used on it, too.
Copy down info from motor nameplate and you can probably cross it to a DAYTON motor (W.W. Grainger). Grainger has branches all over the country. Look in the yellow pages under ELECTRIC MOTORS.
