Cinema West Sebastopol Cinema 9
Sebastopol, CA, USA

The exterior of the cinemas. The building was formerly an apple brandy distillery, and has nine screens, 5 downstairs and 4 upstairs.

The box office and main entrance.

The lower snack bar, with the Cinema West trademark pink-and-blue neon.

Opposite angle of the lobby. The Pepsi machine is there due to some clause in the contract with Pepsi. It rarely gets used.

The booth in the largest booth: Monee MSP manual turret (one of the only Monees in existence that actually 'works right') on a CFS SX4500 console with 3000W bulb, and CFS Super Platter. Note the film cleaner (loaded with Film-Guard, of course!)

The sound rack in the big auditorium. Dolby DA20/Cat 700 running thru a USL JS-260 and Smart CS-EX processor, QSC amps and JBL, Frazier, and Apogee speakers.

The #5 booth: Cinecita SA (since replaced with a Century SA), CFS 2000w console and Super Platter. Sound in this auditorium is not too great, with a Smart SR300 system and Radio Shack amps (an Ultra*Stereo and QSC's are coming soon,   promise!) with TOA and Frazier speakers.

The #2 booth: Century SA, CFS console and Super Platter.

#2 Sound Rack: DTS-6 running thru USL JS-260 and Smart CS-EX processors and QSC amps, JBL, Altec, Apogee and Frazier speakers.

Looking down the rest of the main (#2-3-4-5) booth. the rewind bench is on the right.

#3 projector: Century SA, CFS 2000w console, Super Platter, and more FilmGuard.  :)

Sound Rack: Dolby CP55, QSC amps, CFS monitor, TOA and Frazier speakers.

#4 booth: Century SB (CineFocus), CFS 2000w console, Super Platter, and another FilmGuard-laden media cleaner in use!

#4 Sound Rack: Dolby CP55, TOA amps, CFS monitor, TOA and Frazier speakers.

Films can be run interlocked between #3 and #4 (which are almost back-to-back) via this beam and helper rollers. To date we have only run three films interlocked here.

#8 booth: Century SA, CFS console, Strong platter, and sound rack with Smart MODII processors and Smart TA242 amps.

#7 booth: Century SAW, CFS console, and one of the first two CFS NSP3 platters to come off the line.

#6 booth: Century SA, CFS console, and the other of the first two CFS NSP3 platters off the line.

Film side shot of #7 projector and console.

#7(right) and #6 sound racks: Dolby CP50, Smart EX500 monitors, Crown amplifiers.

The upper lobby and snack bar.

#9 booth: Century SAW, CFS console, Super Platter (it 'just barely' fits in that corner!). Sound rack in here is the same Smart system as #8.

Special thanks to Aaron Sisemore for the pics.
