  • B&H TQ3 projector line output

Where can one make an audio line output on the Bell & Howell TQ3 16mm projector?
I soldered a jack to the volume knob and ground, but that gives clicks when any licht switch is used in the building here.
Is there a dedicated spot (like on Eiki projectors) to get a line level audio output?

The speaker output works fine by the way, but I'd need line level.

    Thanks for the help! Floris

The simplest method to accomplish this, and without modifying the projector, is to use a Direct Input (DI) box driven from the speaker output source. This unit will develop the correct level and impedance as an isolated balanced line level audio source from the projector. One such DI box commonly used is the Behringer DI100. It has the necessary pad-level control, impedance correction, and isolation properties needed for this application. Other audio equipment manufacturers make similar units. It is important to choose one that will accept speaker level audio and output line level audio. Some only output microphone level audio.

      Thanks Paul!
I wasn't aware DI boxes could do such a thing.
